HomeLakeshore Gardening
One of the easiest and most effective ways to keep stormwater runoff from getting directly to the lake is to plant a lakeshore garden.

Many varieties of plants will thrive at the lakeshore, whether you have full sun, partial sun or shade. Additionally, many species of plants will attract pollinators and songbirds.

We have a library of resources that will help you design and plant your lakeshore garden; those resources can be found here.

This year's Buffer Planting Workshop will be held Saturday July 27th at 1:00 pm at 297 Phillips Way (Holly and Warren William's camp).  Valerie Doebler will share info regarding plantings on your lake shore property and tips on how to improve your landscaping around the lake.
